Want to see what overseas experts really think? Keep reading!

The electric qualities are good and the cabin is roomy and nicely finished. It's not bad to drive.

This is a remarkably thorough box-ticking exercise. It's a perfectly decent electric crossover that has been worked-over some more to suit British families. The ownership promise – buying, maintaining, charging – looks to have been mercilessly gone-over to round off likely pain points.

The main appeal of the Aion seems to be a left-brain decision for those who shop around.

Polished and promising.

the Aion V makes a very positive first impression for the brand’s prospects in the UK. There’s more than a surface-level quality to everything and some actual time has gone into setting this car up to tackle UK roads. It manages to offer something different from its anonymous Chinese rivals too – there’s properly premium touches.

The Aion V demonstrates that Chinese manufacturers can produce a sophisticated chassis that closely matches the best Germany has to offer.

The Aion V combines premium interior quality, strong efficiency, and composed road manners at a price that undercuts established European rivals. Aion V Review - 2026 - English Countryside stance Add in an extensive ownership package—eight years of warranty, servicing, MOTs, and roadside assistance—and the value proposition becomes even stronger.

The AION V is a well-judged addition to the UK electric SUV market.

It delivers where it matters most — comfort, space, equipment and overall usability. The combination of competitive pricing and an exceptionally strong ownership package makes it a compelling option.

There’s a lot to like here and an awful lot of space for the money.

Where the AION V really impresses is its damping. The damping, in terms of softening out the harsher potholes and road imperfections of our roads, is superb. At this price for this size of car, you expect some substantial compromises and, well, there just aren’t any.

The AION V is pretty good to look at, drives well enough and boasts excellent equipment levels. Moreover, there’s the small matter of that eight year warranty and servicing peace of mind too.

It feels like a good left-field challenger to the European establishment on value terms.

AION V is the most polished of the Chinese newcomers I've yet sampled. It responds to inputs exactly as you would hope, which isn't always a given, and impresses with an overall sense of solidity.

The AION V potholes and tarmac ridges on our initial experience.

The AION V has been suspension tuned for UK roads, it also pulled well and willingly and was modest in its use of the battery power.

The AION V is particularly attractive if you need access to the rear seats for a passenger with mobility issues as the back doors open a full 90-deg and the loadbed will easily take a wheelchair, including some powered models. It is a strong candidate for any Motability programme.

I like how easy this car feels to live with.

The AION V combines strong efficiency, huge rear passenger space and a very generous equipment list. The aftersales package also makes a big difference, especially if you are thinking about long-term ownership or finance.

From product strength to service assurance, AION V is winning recognition across Europe with proven capability. Every review fuels our journey forward Chinese Smart Manufacturing shines on the global stage.
