Digital Simulation Technology
Across the entire manufacturing process in the factory, digital quality monitoring is implemented. The welding workshop is equipped with over 600 industrial robots integrated with an AI visual inspection system, enabling millisecond-level response and millimeter-level precision inspection. GAC has independently mastered core technologies such as laser spiral welding and integrated hot forming, safeguarding the vehicle body safety from the source of materials and processes. The Group has also built an intelligent torque management system that conducts full data collection and enables lifetime traceability for thousands of key fastening points in the whole vehicle.

Before the mass production of any new product, it must pass full-scenario extreme environment verification: Tests in the 60℃ extreme heat of the Turpan desert in Xinjiang to verify battery thermal runaway management, high-temperature aging of components, charging efficiency, air conditioning cooling performance and overall vehicle sealing; Tests in the -40℃ extreme cold of the Hulun Buir snowfields in Inner Mongolia to verify cold start performance, safety on icy and snowy roads, low-temperature adaptability of batteries and range degradation; Tests at an altitude of over 4,000 meters in Golmud, Qinghai to verify power reserve, insulation safety of electrical systems, power attenuation of engines/motors and braking performance.

Online Laser Inspection Technology
As the core component of a vehicle, the powertrain also undergoes an enhanced bench test with a design life of 300,000 kilometers multiplied by a factor of 1.x – a standard far exceeding industry norms. 03 Green Development: Building Sustainable Competitiveness Through Low-Carbon Transformation
Green manufacturing has been embedded in the core of GAC's strategic development, forming a low-carbon, high-efficiency sustainable production model. In 2023, GAC AION obtained carbon neutrality certification and was selected for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Lighthouse Network, becoming the world’s only lighthouse factory for new energy vehicles.
First, GAC optimizes the energy structure and enhances the self-sufficiency capacity of clean energy – achieving "energy independence" where the factory generates its own electricity for its own use. GAC AION's Smart Eco-Factory is equipped with a distributed photovoltaic power generation system with an annual power output of over 20 million kWh, meeting 50% of the factory's daily electricity demand. It has also built China's largest Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) microgrid system, which leverages the energy storage characteristics of electric vehicles to participate in power grid peak regulation, realizing two-way energy flow and optimal allocation. This integrated energy management model of "photovoltaics + energy storage + V2G" has transformed the factory from a single energy consumer into an active participant in distributed energy systems.
Eco-Friendly Water-Based LASD Coating

On the production side, computer vision technology is used for intelligent defect identification, and a predictive maintenance system is deployed to monitor equipment status in real time. On the supply chain side, multi-objective optimization algorithms and big data technology are used to achieve intelligent dynamic production scheduling, increasing scheduling efficiency by 60% and effectively reducing inventory costs and supply chain pressure.
Finally, GAC strengthens green branding to boost international market competitiveness. In response to carbon footprint regulations in markets such as the EU, the zero-carbon factory certification provides compliance support for product exports, effectively lowering market access costs and enhancing GAC's international brand premium capacity.
