Recently, a delegation from Brazil’s National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) visited GAC’s Guangzhou base for technical research visits and business exchanges. This visit builds on the technical cooperation mechanism launched by both parties in September 2025, with in-depth discussions focused on electric vehicle industry practices and regulatory system development.

During the visit, the delegation toured GAC’s production base on site, and the two sides held multiple special themed discussions on technical and regulatory topics in the electric vehicle sector. Drawing on its own industrial operation experience, GAC shared with the delegation the technological applications and practical achievements across the entire electric vehicle industry chain.

Hercules Souza, Head of the Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Quality Division at Inmetro, stated that the first-hand industry insights gained from this exchange would provide important support for Brazil’s ongoing technical analysis of electric vehicles and regulatory policy research, helping the country improve its regulatory framework in the relevant fields.
