GAC and CLVG Enter Thailand's NEV Market with Plan to Deliver 2,000 EVs for Green Mobility and Carbon Neutrality Goals

On June 27, the AION Y Plus ride-hailing fleet handover ceremony was grandly held at the GAC Phatthanakan Service Center in Bangkok.The first batch of 100 vehicles was officially delivered, marking the launch of a project with an initial plan of 2,000 units. This milestone signifies the full implementation of GAC's new energy mobility solution in Thailand.

The delivery ceremony also witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership between GAC and CLVG (Thailand) Co., Ltd, a Thai car rental and mobility solutions provider, jointly ushering in a new era for the electric ride-hailing market in Thailand. Moving forward, this cooperation will serve as a starting point for both parties to deepen their strategic presence in Southeast Asia. The project will further expand to key markets such as Indonesia and Malaysia, advancing GAC’s efforts of building a sustainable and intelligent mobility ecosystem across the Asia-Pacific region.

The guests who attended this event included: Wang Haoyong, Chairman of AION Automobile Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; Liao Changlin, Executive Director of CLVG (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; Li Xiangfeng, Managing Director of ICBC Leasing (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; and  Thatchaphon Jiralongkorn, Vice Chairman of V Group AI Co., Ltd. The delivered GAC AION Y Plus vehicles will be deployed for urban transport and ride-hailing services, meeting the demands of a rapidly growing market.

Wang Haoyong stated: "This collaboration reflects the high recognition of the GAC AION Y Plus's technology and quality, and it is also an important step in promoting clean energy and reducing pollution in Thailand. We are committed to providing innovative and efficient electric vehicles to Thai consumers and businesses."

Liao Changlin mentioned:" Partnership with GAC International is part of our long-term strategy to enhance service quality with advanced and environmentally friendly vehicles. This first batch of 100 AION Y Plus electric cars will significantly boost our local operational capacity in Thailand and further meet the mobility needs of tourists in the country."
