On June 25th, the grand opening ceremony of GACB Sathorn & GAC Thailand Battery Service Center was held in Bangkok. As the flagship experience center of GAC INTERNATIONAL in Thailand, this center not only enhanced consumer service experience but also successfully promoted the localized implementation of GAC's "Sales + Energy Services" dual-track strategy.
Worakan Kosolpisitkul, Executive Director of the Investment Promotion Division 3 of BOI, Li Yong, Chairman and General Manager of GAC Business, Wei Haigang, President of GAC INTERNATIONAL, Wang Ke, General Manager of UPower Energy, Wang Shunsheng, Vice President of GAC INTERNATIONAL, Lu Weicong, Vice General Manager of GAC Business, along with government and business representatives, media delegates, and partners, jointly attended and witnessed this historic moment.
The opening of GACB Sathorn meets the growing consumer demand for high-quality new energy vehicles in Thailand. In the speech, Li Yong mentioned that the opening of GACB Sathorn responds to the increasing demand for high-quality new energy vehicles among Thai consumers, while laying a solid foundation for GAC's deeper market presence in Thailand. GAC Business is actively implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative and GAC brand globalization strategy, with Thailand as a key market in Southeast Asia and an important strategic point for GAC's global expansion. In the future, based on the Bangkok Experience Center, GAC Business will build a global benchmark store for the GAC brand and further deepen China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation, and promote friendly exchanges between the two countries.
The establishment of the GACB Sathorn is also a practical implementation of the “One GAC 2.0” strategy. Wei Haigang stated: "The official launch of GACB Sathorn and GAC Thailand Battery Service Center provides a replicable and scalable overseas expansion model of 'One GAC 2.0'—the 'Thailand Model' that integrates products, intelligent manufacturing, channels, services, energy ecosystems, and mobility systems." This model demonstrates GAC’s comprehensive capability in full-industry-chain ecosystem globalization and will serve as a key reference and benchmark for expanding across Southeast Asia and global markets.
The GAC Thailand Battery Service Center, which opened simultaneously with GACB Sathorn. Wang Ke, UPower General Manager stated: is the only professional battery service center in Thailand supported by the BOI policy. Its establishment not only provides efficient and high-quality battery after-sales services for Thai consumers but also marks an important step forward in GAC's full-industry-chain ecosystem globalization strategy. The concept of "In Local, For Local, Integrating with Local, Serving Local, and contributing to local" has been fully embodied.
The launch of GACB Sathorn and GAC Thailand Battery Service Center demonstrates GAC Business’ successful move beyond traditional automakers’ "single-product export model." Through the full-chain R&D, manufacturing, and energy services, GAC is actively building a "In Local, For local" sustainable ecosystem. Moving Forward, GAC will develop the Thailand business store 1 into a model store for Thailand and Southeast Asia. Leveraging this important foothold, GAC will further expand its market layout in Southeast Asia, establishing a benchmark market with significant demonstration value.
