GAC EMKOO Officially Launches in Malaysia, Setting New Trends for SUVs

On October 3rd,  the launch ceremony for GAC's "Future Styled SUV" EMKOO was held at the GAC Glenmarie Showroom in Kuala Lumpur. Local automotive industry media, key customers, and partners gathered at the event to jointly witness the official debut of this stylish and practical C-segment SUV in the Malaysian market. The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of Malaysia's dual brand ambassadors, renowned artist Jack Lim and Datuk Remy Ishak, who joined to celebrate EMKOO's grand introduction and mark the beginning of a new chapter for GAC in Malaysia.

Enhanced Localization, More Thoughtful Service Assurance

EMKOO made its public debut at an auto show in July. Its bold avant-garde design, advanced intelligent connectivity, spacious interior, and practical features have attracted wide attention, making it a highly competitive and popular choice. At the event, Mr. Tan Keng Meng, Chief Executive Officer of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd (WTCA), delivered a speech for EMKOO’s official launch. He stated, “Following the GS3 EMZOOM, EMKOO becomes GAC’s second locally assembled (CKD) model in Malaysia. The official launch of EMKOO not only demonstrates GAC’s commitment to deeply cultivating the Malaysian market but also reaffirms GAC’s dedication to creating vehicles that combine stylish aesthetics and high-end quality for local consumers.”

In terms of service assurance, Mr. Tan Keng Meng brought good news to Malaysian consumers: Starting from October, GAC owners will enjoy more comprehensive after-sales support, with a total of 45 officially authorized service centers across Malaysia now in operation. With broader coverage and more convenient channels, these centers are dedicated to safeguarding every customer’s journey. This initiative once again reflects GAC’s consistent philosophy of “In local, for local, integrating locally, serving locally, and contributing locally.”

At the launch event, the EMKOO’s futuristic exterior became the center of attention, where its core product advantages were thoroughly presented. In terms of exterior, the V-shaped illuminated front grille echoes with the “Enlightenment Eye” headlights, creating a distinct sense of futurism and high recognizability; in terms of space, its class-leading body dimensions and spacious, comfortable five-door, five-seat layout cater to both daily comfort and family travel needs; in terms of safety, the EMKOO is equipped with the L2 Advanced Driver Assistance System and Fully Automatic Parking Assist, and EMKOO was also recently awarded a 5-Star rating by ASEAN NCAP, which fully aligns with the traffic conditions in Southeast Asia and provides solid protection for users' travels through a comprehensive safety system.
