01. Seizing Opportunities in Southeast Asia: Strategic Chances Amid Explosive Growth of the Electric Vehicle Market
Currently, the Southeast Asian electric vehicle market is experiencing explosive growth. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA) report, electric vehicle sales in the region surged by nearly 50% year-on- year in 2024, demonstrating tremendous market potential and determination for green transformation. Southeast Asia is not only an important overseas market for GAC but also a strategic high ground to showcase its full industrial chain technological strength and ecological construction capabilities. This strategic alliance with Grab, which has a large user base and a sound mobility ecosystem, is a forward-looking layout of GAC to develop the international market through a localized ecological cooperation model.
The core of this cooperation goes far beyond traditional vehicle sales or leasing. GAC aims to inject its profound technical heritage accumulated in electrification and intelligence, as well as product reliability and service experience verified in large-scale global mobility markets, into the mobility ecosystem co-built with Grab. The two parties aim to achieve system interconnection. For example, they will explore integrating the Grab driver app into GAC's intelligent cockpit system, optimize driver order acceptance efficiency and improve driving safety , and jointly explore innovations in the after-sales support system, thereby providing superior full-cycle mobility experiences for drivers and passengers in Southeast Asia.

02. Introduction of Star Model Matrix Deeply Meeting Diverse Scenarios
The first batch of this cooperation will introduce three star models under AION: AION Y, AION ES, and AION V. Based on an understanding of the diverse demands of the Southeast Asian market, the cooperation will start with the introduction of the following model lineup matrix: As a popular model under GAC, AION Y has rapidly risen in the electric taxi segment with its fashionable design and practical interior space. Building on the Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, the AION V has established itself as a global safety benchmark for all-electric SUVs, combining long range and a spacious interior. AION ES, with efficient range and spacious configurations, has won trust in the electric taxi market together with AION Y, showing a strong growth momentum. The signing of the cooperation agreement between GAC and Grab not only demonstrates the strong strength of GAC’s products in the international market but also empowers the sustainable mobility ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

As a start, AION Y, AION ES, and AION V will be introduced into Grab’s fleet
The introduction of these three models will greatly enrich the fleet options on the Grab platform. Behind them is GAC's strong independent R&D system, advanced intelligent manufacturing factories, and global supply chain support capabilities.
03. Significance of the Signing: Pioneering a New Paradigm of Full Value Chain Global Expansion
The cooperation blueprint between GAC INTERNATIONAL and Grab has been unfolded. This cooperation aligns with the strategic core of the "Tech-Driven GAC, Advancing Global Reach with a Full-Chain Ecosystem". By forging a deep strategic partnership with regional ecosystem leaders, GAC integrates intelligent products, in-car connectivity, and data services into an integrated solution, realizing the transformation from "selling vehicles" to "delivering full-cycle mobility value". By leveraging Grab's well-known platform influence across Southeast Asia, GAC will achieve high-frequency exposure to millions of users, rapidly building brand awareness, market reputation, and deeper market insights that enables future models to accurately meet real overseas scenarios. Meanwhile, the large-scale deployment of electric vehicles will substantially reduce regional transportation carbon emissions, moving in sync with global carbon neutrality goals, and demonstrating Chinese automakers' commitment to environmental responsibility and global vision.
