GAC INTERNATIONAL Leads Thailand's Electric Taxi Market, Ranking First in Registrations for the First Three Quarters

Since the start of 2025, GAC INTERNATIONAL has delivered an outstanding performance in Thailand's electric taxi niche market. The latest data shows that from January to September 2025, it topped the brand rankings with a cumulative registration volume of 1,271 units, accounting for 49% of the niche market share. This achievement not only demonstrates GAC INTERNATIONAL's strong competitiveness in Thailand's commercial vehicle market but also serves as a key milestone in its implementation of the "One GAC 2.0" strategy, marking the upgrade from "Product Globalization" to "Ecosystem Globalization".

This breakthrough is rooted in GAC INTERNATIONAL's localization commitment of "In Thailand, for Thailand". By accurately identifying the opportunities presented by Thailand's EV3.0/3.5 policies and addressing market pain points, the company has innovated its business model and successfully built two industry benchmarks: the EV7 taxi project and the Changlin holdings’ride-hailing service project. Among them, the EV7 project has helped GAC retain the title of Thailand's top taxi seller for five consecutive months from May to September 2025, aiming for the annual sales championship.

Vehicle Introduction and Training Implementation

The two flagship models, AION Y Plus and AION ES, have demonstrated exceptional product strength. With comprehensive advantages in quality, space, and operating costs, they have won wide trust from operators and drivers. The registration volume surged from 1 unit in January to 306 units in June, showing strong market momentum.

To address the credit challenges faced by Thailand's driver community, GAC INTERNATIONAL has broken the deadlock with a "finance-first" approach. In the EV7 project, it has tackled the pain points of lease-purchase by relying on the group's in-house financial system. In terms of the cooperation model, GAC INTERNATIONAL has also made bold innovations. The "exclusive authorization + bet" model with EV7 ensures efficient collaboration and goal alignment.

Looking ahead, GAC INTERNATIONAL will continue to deepen its local operations, accelerate the introduction of purpose-built mobility models such as the "YP Taxi Version", and plan to collaborate with partners to build a "Driver Service Home" that integrates rest, charging, and maintenance services, so as to fully optimize the service ecosystem. These initiatives are shaping GAC into a trustworthy "mobility value creator for a better life" in the Thai market.
