In the era of new energy vehicles, while users pay attention to core product capabilities such as range and power performance, they are more concerned about the safety of advanced technologies including the the battery, motor and electronic control system and intelligent driving assistance systems. Many users worry about potential safety risks in the the battery, motor and electronic control system that may cause spontaneous combustion during vehicle use; they are anxious about excessive battery capacity degradation that may affect daily use and vehicle residual value; and they also have concerns about the reliability of intelligent parking assistance systems, which may lead to scratches or collisions in narrow scenarios.

Genuine peace of mind comes from manufacturers' willingness to take the initiative to assume responsibility for product quality issues. To this end, the three major independent brands of GAC officially released the "Triple Assurance Policy" service commitment policy to users: the manufacturer shall be liable for spontaneous combustion caused by the battery, motor and electronic control system problems, excessive battery degradation, and intelligent parking accidents. Precisely targeting the three core pain points most concerned by new energy vehicle users, this policy reshapes the user peace-of-mind protection system with clear, direct, and industry-exceeding responsibility commitments:

Liability for spontaneous combustion caused by the battery, motor and electronic control system issues: If the vehicle catches fire spontaneously due to quality problems of the the battery, motor and electronic control system (power battery, motor, electronic control) and meets the national motor vehicle scrapping standards, the manufacturer will directly provide a new car with the same configuration or price as compensation, completely eliminating users' concerns about the full-cycle safety of new energy vehicles.

Liability for excessive battery degradation: If the power battery capacity degrades beyond the manufacturer's recognized standard due to quality issues, the manufacturer will replace it with a brand-new original battery free of charge. GAC's independent brands have established a unified battery degradation standard: within 2 years or 50,000 kilometers (whichever comes first, the same below), the maximum allowable degradation is 10%; within 3 years or 60,000 kilometers, it is 15%; and within 6 years or 100,000 kilometers, it is 20%. This standard has effectively enhanced users' confidence in the reliability of new energy vehicles under GAC's independent brands.

Liability for intelligent parking accidents: When users use the intelligent parking assistance function, if an accident occurs due to the function itself, resulting in maintenance costs that the vehicle should bear in accordance with the law and third-party property losses, the corresponding expenses will be fully covered by the manufacturer, allowing users to experience the convenience brought by intelligent technology with greater peace of mind.

Hosted by the China-SAE and the National Big Data Alliance of New Energy Vehicles, the China Digital Automobile Competition has been successfully held for eight consecutive sessions since its inception in 2018. This year, China Economic Information Service of Xinhua News Agency, in conjunction with the School of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology, fully upgraded the competition and innovatively launched the Digital Cross-China Drive, which participated by more than a dozen mainstream new energy vehicle brands. As the first cross-China drive event in the new energy vehicle sector, this competition was a 30-day-plus extreme long-distance actual test. Starting from Wuqing District, Tianjin, the fleet braved extreme cold of -30℃, crossed high-altitude roads with thin air, endured scorching heat of 50℃ in Turpan, withstood sandstorm attacks on the Taklamakan Desert Highway, and faced comprehensive challenges of complex road conditions such as urban congestion, rugged curves, and gravel bumps. Under the competition system of real-time data collection throughout the journey, every kilometer of this 10,000-mile journey was a tough test of the product's comprehensive strength.
